Fried fish, green banana (matoke), cassava. Β©Mizou

Along side travel and visit, discovering different kinds of dishes is part of a great experience for me. Let me share with you some of them. So, on this photo above, is a dish that is commonly eaten at lunch : fried fish like Tilapia, green fried banana (Matoke), boiled cassava. And of course some chili sauce and green leaves.

Enjoy !!! Stay tuned for another post with the same topic : Food and travel!

Thanks for visiting.

  1. I spent some time in Africa (Tanzania), and was in love with the food there. Wonderful use of spice i all their dishes, great soups, and the fresh avocados were out of this world (can’t find any like them here in the US!)

      1. Yes, Zanzibar was known as the Spice capitol of the world during Orient steamship trade days, and I never could figure out just what it was they used in each dish, the spicing was so subtle but so tastefully exotic!
